RECIPE

Most of my recipes come from allergy-free cookbooks or websites, the authors of which I consider to be personal heroes. These bakers, home chefs and "just regular moms" have given me hope and spurred my confidence and creativity to make food that isn't just good for something egg or dairy-free... but, GOOD. I will always credit these authors and, when possible, include links to the original recipe.  In cases when I've modified an unsafe recipe to make it allergy-free, I will still link to the original source. And, when I have created a recipe on my own, I'll let you know.  Enjoy!

It's birthday time in my house again, and my eight year-old requested our family's favorite chocolate cake for his birthday dessert this week. Listen, this cake is AMAZING (if you haven't tried it, please click here for the gluten, egg, dairy and nut-free recipe), but...

Chocolate chip cookies were one of the first things I was determined to make safely when my oldest son was diagnosed with his food allergies. They are not only one of the most iconic American desserts in existence, but also a staple in most of our childhood experiences...

One of my kids' most favorite desserts to make - especially during the summer - is s'mores. This gooey treat is the ultimate crowd pleaser and always gets my crew so excited after a night cooking out with family and friends. But, the thing with s'mores is that it also...

Do you ever grow tired of your breakfast routine? If I'm honest, I have to say that breakfast hangs out on the "most boring meal of the day" shelf at our house quite a bit. And, when my kids constantly gravitate toward what's quick (and, consequently, not the healthies...

Spring has sprung, and with about eight more weeks of the school year left, I have hit a bit of a wall... It's the "I've got to come up for something for dinner" rut that always makes its way into my life come springtime. Am I the only one who always gets slightly wear...

There are so many things I love about Easter. Most important to me is what this holiday means for my faith, but I also adore the traditions that surround this special time of year: time with family, Easter baskets and the seasonal food brings me back to my childhood. A...
